District 10 Dumpster Day

Last November, the office of Councilmember Johnny Khamis sponsored a Dumpster Day in the Vista Park neighborhood. We collected almost 32 tons of waste, of which 77% was recycled, and we accepted over 2,500 pounds of donated materials for Goodwill.  What does this mean for the environment? It means that instead of placing unwanted items curbside for collection that goes straight to landfill, placing items in the Dumpster Day bins allows our team to recycle more than half the contents – sparing the environment.

As always, this service is open to all residents in District 10 and we invite you to participate in the upcoming Dumpster Day scheduled for January 25, 2020
